25th June 2018 Quick update. Due to ill health of half of Fiddlebox (the fiddling half) we are taking a complete break from performances as a duo till September. We hope to be back soon with renewed energy doing what we do best. But its going to be a quiet summer. In other news we have just put the finishing touches to our new album, a joint project with Nick Swanell at Studio 49. 12th June 2012 Had a great time at Fishguard Folk festival last weekend. One of the best small folky festivals, and by the sea side too!
20th March 2012 St Pats Day saw us playing with a great crowd of people including Gbebemi Amas and some Thai dancers to launch Multicultural Week.
4th March 2012 We celebrated St David's day in style this year, with lots of lovely gigs. We specially enjoyed taking a workshop in the National Botanic Gardens teaching Welsh tunes in the olive grove in the early spring sunshine!

22nd July 2011 We've just been at the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show this week and enjoyed sharing the bandstand programme with John ac Alun and Martyn Geraint, amoung others.

14th April 2011 Its been a while since we posted news, buts thats because we've been busy! Amoung other things we played at one of our favourite venues last week, Cuffern Manor in Pembrokeshire. We have been hard at work writing new material, and are going into the studio in May to record a new album. Updates soon!

26th November 2010 Fiddlebox and writer David Thorpe went to New Ross, County Wexford last week to develop and perform the Irish immigration drama with Sean Reidy. The show went really well, and featured Irish dancers and the great vocal harmonies of Barrowside as well as us. We are planning several performances in Ireland, Wales and France next year.

10th September 2010 What fun we had at Wallingford Bunkfest last weekend. Special thanks to Dave Newson for putting us up, and letting us drink his brandy till the early hours of Sunday morning. What a gent!
10th September 2010 Fiddlebox will be working with Neyland school in Pembrokeshire this half term in a series of song writing workshops aimed at creating new songs about the sea and the people who work in maritime industries. The songs will be uploaded onto this site later this year.
