Our new Album, 'Tears of a Robot' (soundscapes in wind, water and Klezmer)
Eastern Honeymoon: Fiddlebox's Klezmer and Welsh album from 2016
On the East Wind: Fiddlebox's second album from 2013.
George Whitfield and Helen Adam's first duo album, Fiddlebox, features original music from both musicians, as well as traditional tunes. Percussion wizard Justin Fellows joins them on some of the tracks. Their electronic effects are also given an airing, however, there is still much for the purist to enjoy. Musical influences include Welsh traditional dance music, Klezmar party music, contemporary minimalist composers with a good chunk of rock thrown in.
Merch y Felin is a interactive show written by Helen about the coming of industrialisation to the West Wales valleys. It takes the form of a love story between the country girl Megan who goes to work in a newly automated, water-powered woollen mill and Morus, the mill-owner's son. It is scored for five piece Celtic band, narrator, and a group of African drummers. This CD was recorded live at the National Woollen Museum of Wales in 2009.
